Werner-Schuster-Haus

It is almost two years since the death of Werner Schuster, the Social Democrat development politician who was highly respected across party lines and especially by NGOs. At 5 p.m. on May 9, on the eve of the second anniversary of his death, the office building at Kaiserstrasse 201 in Bonn, in which among others the Association of German Development NGOs (VENRO) and Germanwatch work, will be officially inaugurated as 'Dr.-Werner-Schuster-Haus'. After the ceremony the building will be open to all for tours and talks with the staffs of the eight organisations located there. Earlier, a symposium on 'Promotion of the Civil Society in Africa' will take place at the Deutsche Sparkassen und Giroverband building at Kaiserstrasse 221, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
