Wolfowitz to succeed Wolfensohn

US President George W. Bush has nominated Paul Wolfowitz as successor of James Wolfensohn, the current president of the World Bank. Wolfowitz is currently serving the US administration as Deputy Secretary of Defence. He is said to have masterminded the Iraq war and is considered a staunch unilateralist. During the administration of Ronald Reagan, he served as US ambassador in Jakarta, the Indonesian capital.
