InWEnt:
new alumni portal

Former participants of InWEnt’s training courses can now locate at a glance the wide range of courses that InWEnt is currently offering. At the same time the new alumni portal is opening up new opportunities for them to take an active role: courses, virtual learning platforms, access to international knowledge networks are all part of the user-friendly website. Many courses were previously classified as belonging to various different levels of “Global Campus 21”, and some were difficult to locate. Now they are all clearly clustered in one place.

At present the portal is available online in German and English. French and Spanish will be added later in the year. “Campo Latino” will then be set up on the Spanish site for former recipients of scholarships from Latin America. From 2005 Chinese, Russian and Arabic versions will also be available. This global orientation is designed to stimulate the formation of other networks and to create new synergies. Each year approximately 40,000 people complete courses with InWEnt.

The portal is part of InWEnt’s new follow-up concept. Personal contact seamlessly gives way to virtual contact. The portal is designed to assist former students making the transition from training back to the workforce, translating what they have learned into practical skills in their everyday working lives. Almost all modules have a presenter, who is available as a point of contact for any questions. The progress of course and seminar participants is closely monitored by a tutor. Important: only registered users have access to all the information and options available. (orb)
