Many development workers find themselves confronted with the consequences of HIV/AIDS on a daily basis. The disease often jeopardises the success of their projects. What can be done to turn the situation around? This book points out the practicalities of integrating the pandemic and its effects into all the areas of work carried out by development organisations. In doing so, it capitalises on Misereor’s vast experience in rural areas, but does not stop there. It explains, on a step by step basis, how HIV/AIDS considerations could be consolidated into every aspect of a project. This is helpful for managers and project workers alike. The book is backed up by a CD-ROM with references, background material and contact addresses. (orb)
