Public Private Partnerships have become widely recognised as a tool that benefits both business and a country's development. If private and public partners complement each other in common projects, both sides stand to gain: Inwent provides its know-how in international human resources development and its intercultural experiences. Its worldwide network currently comprises offices in Brussels, Daressalaam, New-Delhi, Hanoi, Cairo, Kiev, Lima, Managua, Manila, Moscow, Peking, Pretoria and São Paulo as well as partner organisations in the United States and Japan.

Businesses make a contribution to development goals through technical know-how, human resources and commitment: They are creating jobs and incomes, spreading technical skills and bringing new technologies into the partner countries. They install technological innovations and improve production processes. They invest in Human Capital and environment and that leads to a long-term economic and is also in their own interest.

Since the introduction of PPP projects in 2000, Inwent has formed more than 190 partnerships with private firms and associations in more than 50 countries. About 36 million Euro has been invested in these projects, with the public share averaging around 60 percent.

Summing-up: If public and private partners bring together their specific strengths, know-how, capacities and resources, they will achieve more than they could individually.
