Sustainable Business Development

What kind of companies enjoy lasting success? Which economic philosophy is the most sustainable considering our worldwide environmental problems, increasingly scarce resources and ever stronger international interdependence? Sustainable business development is the applicable concept here. It combines economic success with ecological acceptability and social responsibility. Through its capacity building programmes, Inwent promotes this form of economic development in developing and emerging nations worldwide.

We offer company employees advanced training seminars that help them become information multipliers. In so doing, we never lose sight of the basic pillars of the modern economics of knowledge. This means we disseminate knowledge, making it accessible so it can be used to encourage growth that promotes sustainable development while strengthening the competitiveness of companies. Our capacity building programmes are directed at the business community and its consulting institutions, chambers and associations. We also cooperate with individual firms and businesses in numerous countries, in Eastern and sub-Saharan Africa, the Mediterranean, Asia and Central America in particular.

The department comprises six divisions:

  • Technological Cooperation, System Development and Management in Vocational Education (Mannheim)
  • Modern Media and Curricula Development in Vocational Education (Magdeburg)
  • Business Development and Infrastructure (Bonn)
  • Sustainable Technologies, Industrial and Urban Development (Bonn)
  • Economic, Environmental and Social Statistics (Bonn)
  • International Training Centre (Mannheim)
