The federal states of Hessen and Rhineland-Palatinate number among Europe’s strongest economic regions. Their location at the heart of Germany and excellent infrastructure make both states economic leaders. The Regional Centre Hessen/Rhineland-Palatinate sees itself as a partner to the business communities in Hessen and Rhineland-Palatinate and works closely with the local governments and civil society of these two federal states.
Our work addresses central topics such as promoting economies, management training, environment and technology along with peace development and conflict resolution. Our range is custom-tailored to speak to companies and organisations in China, Mongolia and India, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador and Columbia, as well as in countries from Central and Eastern Europe. We develop our training programmes in cooperation with local partners. They are designed to communicate practically oriented knowledge and strategies for problem solving.
In the interest of the state government of Hessen, the Regional Centre Hessen/Rhineland-Palatinate qualifies executives from the chinese partner region Hunan. Through advanced training in the field of water and waste water management as well as management training we support the state government's contribution to China's environmentally economic development.
We run an advanced training programme for young professionals from Central and Eastern European as well as Indian companies and economic organisations on behalf of the Ministry of Economics of Rhineland-Palatinate. The programme is aimed at strengthening the development of free market economies in these countries, and participants take part in a traineeship at the medium-sized company in Rhineland-Palatinate as a central part of the programme.
International cooperation requires a wide base of support at home. We are committed to communicating the goals of development cooperation and the issues facing it via development-related education, dialogue events and seminars. We also cooperate with regional networks within civil society and in the business community to this end. Our "Ch@t der Welten" supports schools in Hessen and Rhineland-Palatinate in addressing topics of development policy in the classroom
We cannot achieve sustainable development, shape globalisation fairly, battle poverty and reduce it by 50% worldwide by 2015 if the business community is not directly involved. Inwent supports German businesses in their efforts on behalf of development and offers seminars and dialogue events on topics such as "corporate social responsibility (CSR)", "intercultural skills for decision-making and responsibility" and "sustainable company management". Companies and individuals involved in the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft Business Group forums in Hessen and Rhineland-Palatinate support our work.
