The training course aims at business and economic writers of daily newspapers from the following countries:

Ghana, Indonesia, Jordan, Pakistan, Syria, Tanzania, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

The course participants should learn
  • to understand the factors that determine the national and international economy
  • to understand and analyse economic problems
  • to write understandable and factually correct articles about economies, finance and business.

  • The logic of accounting
  • Reporting companies
  • Reporting markets
  • The functioning of the national economy
  • The international financial system
  • The world trade system
  • The global economy: crisis and outlook
Admission requirements:
Applicants have to:
  • have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience
  • have experience on an electronic editorial system
  • be proficient in English (the course and all exercises will be conducted in English)
  • be under 35 year old
