The training course is open to newspaper and press agency journalists who have a strong interest in political reporting.The course aims at enhancing the competence of print journalists in the area of accurate, professional and readership-oriented political reporting and to increase the awareness for the media's contribution to the promotion of good governance.
The course is open to journalists from the following countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Pakistan, Philippines, Timor Leste, Uganda, Zimbabwe.
Admission Requirements: Applicants should:
have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience
be proficient in English (the course and all exercises will be conducted in English)
be under 36 years old
be given paid leave for the duration of the course
Women journalists are particularly encouraged to apply.
