Programme No. 7612502000 - Ethics in Journalism

The main purpose of the seminar is to empower journalists in their daily workload to cope with ethical dilemmas which occur in a quickly changing media landscape. Background knowledge will be imparted as well as practical hints for everyday's work in the newsroom.

The programme will be conducted in co-operation with the Ghana Journalists Association.

The programme is open to journalists from print and online media.

Journalists from the following countries may apply:
Benin, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Nigeria, Sénégal, Sierra Leone

Applicants should
  • have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience with strong interest in media ethics
  • be proficient in English (the course and all exercises will be conducted in English)
  • be under 35 years old
  • be given paid leave for the duration of the course
Women journalists are particularly encouraged to apply.
