Highly qualified, motivated staff are the heart of any high-quality health system. This has been well illustrated by reform efforts, which have failed to generate the intended benefits in spite of significant investment in infrastructure and procedures. For some years now, the attention of the international donor community has thus focused increasingly on the human resources factor in the health sectors of partner countries.
Reforms are only possible with effective human resources management, which ensures not only the more efficient use of staff, but also upgrades and motivates staff through appropriate human resources development concepts and measures.
InWEnt offers training programmes for specialists and executives in the health sector, which build both technical and managerial competencies. At institutional level, we support further training facilities in the health sector with capacity building measures, such as curriculum design programmes, or measures on the introduction of modern methods of instruction and teaching materials, especially e-learning.
