Natural resources are the basis of economic and social development. Their sustainable use poses a global challenge for food security and peace development.

Instruments

In providing process support and organizational consulting to partners we combine various tools such as international dialog with political decision-makers, advanced career-oriented training in Germany, building of knowledge networks and cross-border learning communities.

Regional Focus

Currently our activities concentrate on countries and regions in Africa, Asia, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) as well as the New Independent States (NIS).

Clients and Cooperation Partners

Our clients and strategic cooperation partners in Germany include the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) and the state governments of Saxony and Thuringia. One of our international cooperation partners is the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI).

Structure and Location

Our division comprises 19 staff members who represent a wealth of specialized regional and methodological competence.
Its main office is located in Zschortau near Leipzig (Germany).
